Paula: What is the significance of the title We Used to Dance?

Abby: I was thinking about growing older, sort of bittersweet, and I was looking around and seeing my grandparent's generation mostly gone. That whole Eastern European Jewish immigrant culture---the title was a reference to them and a tribute---so many memories and people who have been a source of inspiration to me. Also, I was thinking of a relationship that wasn't what it used to be. I wanted to find a place---remembering a certain energy, dreams---so that I could dance again, that part in us that we need to rediscover at times when we are feeling low. It's still there, I think, if we reach for it.
